Dillon Beach Resort
Dillon Beach is at of the mouth of Tomales Bay and just south of Bodega Bay. We are tucked in behind Tomales Point, the northern most tip of Point Reyes National Seashore and therefore somewhat protected from the full force of the Pacific. The beach is long and flat with a gentle slope into the ocean, great for surfing, particularly beginners, and great for kids & families in general. Taste local fare in the Beach Café indoors or on our patio. Spend the night or many in one of our cabins overlooking the ocean.

Adobe Creek Restoration Project
Twenty years ago, a dry crevice existed where a creek once flowed. Local authorities considered the creek dead and old tires, beer cans and box springs filled the majority of the seven-mile bed. Tom Furrer, a teacher at Casa Grande High School, inspired his kids to help clean the creek after school. He and the kids then petitioned the local authorities to stop diverting all the water that formerly ran through the creek bed and eventually out to the Bay. They succeeded and one day the steelhead returned to the creek.

Furrer did not stop. Eventually, he developed a curriculum at the high school that deals with both environmental issues and with the study of fish propagation. Through public and private funding, they were able to build a hatchery at the school. For more information about the project or to make a donation, visit http://www.uacg.org.
